So, Becca came out with another limited-edition face palette this year, the Becca x Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette in collaboration with Chrissy Teigen and I couldn’t be more excited about this. I knew I had to get this one.

Its not because I am big fan of Chrissy Teigen or anything, honestly I didn’t have much idea who she was except the fact that she is an American Model. But, I wanted to get this palette solely because I didn’t get the Jaclyn Hill Palette and I have always kind of sulked about it. I thought the Jaclyn Hill Palette was just too expensive since I already owned the Champagne Pop Highlighter, and buying it would make one or the other product redundant.

The Becca X Chrissy Teigen Palette comes with 2 highlighters, one is their existing Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold and a brand new highlighter called Beach Nectar. It also comes with a bronzer and a blush. I have always wanted to get the Rose Gold highlighter, so buying this palette made more sense to me.

PACKAGING

As always, the palette has classic Becca packaging, which is just so luxurious and classy. The packaging of this palette also is so stunning with a marble pattern on the cover but actual material on it is soft touch with a rose gold lining running around the cover. Although, the palette looks stunning but I am always scared that the soft touch cover may get spoiled or damaged with handling. The palette inside and out is all rose gold, which is my favourite colour for any makeup packaging. It feels very sturdy and would be perfect for travel. The mirror inside the palette is huge and stunning, very good quality.

PRODUCT DETAILS

The palette has 2 highlighters – Shimmering Skin Perfector Rose Gold and Beach Nectar, which are both 5.1 gm / 0.18 oz of product. The Bronzer and blush both are 2.4 gm / 0.085 oz.

In Singapore, the palette retails for SGD 69 in Sephora Stores and Online.

Just to compare, the Jaclyn Hill Palette came with 5 products in it but it retailed for SGD 80. I think this palette is a better value if you are looking to buy the Becca highlighters, specially the Rose Gold, since each full size highlighter is SGD 58. So, just for 11 dollars more you can buy this whole palette which comes with a blush and bronzer as well. So, I do really like the price point of this product, that it is not as expensive as the Jaclyn Hill Palette.

PIGMENTATION

Now, lets look at the shades. You get 2 highlighters, 1 bronzer and a blush in this palette.

  • Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Rose Gold – This is an existing highlight shade which is described as a subtle gold shade infused with rose tones.
  • Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Beach Nectar – This is a brand new highlight which is described as a juicy apricot shade infused with gold.

Both the highlighters have very good pigmentation and feel buttery smooth. They blend really well and look beautiful on the skin. But, unlike the other two Becca highlighters I own, these two are surprisingly not that intense. I am not sure if this is because of my skin tone. To get intensity, I do have to layer quite a bit. But, if you know me then you know that I am more of a subtle, natural highlight kind of a girl. So, these highlights are just perfect. They don’t look too intense at one go and I can reach for them anytime without worrying too much that they would be too intense.

Although, I would say that the new highlight is a little more intense than the Rose Gold one.

  • Sunlit Bronzer Malibu Soleil – This is a medium amber shade to give a natural sun kissed glow.

I love the bronzer in this palette. Its a nice warm bronzer with a satin finish. Although, in the swatches you will see that the bronzer doesn’t show too much on the skin tone. But, when I wear this on top of foundation it looks perfect for my liking. I don’t really like a lot of contouring or bronzing so this kind of a bronzer looks very natural on the skin.

But, if you have a little deeper skin tone than mine which is around MAC NC42, then this bronzer will not show up too much.

  • Luminous Blush Hibiscus Bloom – This is a new limited edition blush shade with pink and coral hues.

I love Becca blushes, and the blush is another reason I wanted to get this palette. This blush also doesn’t disappoint. Its a pink blush with some coral undertones and it just looks so beautiful. It provides a nice healthy glow to the cheeks as well as it is not matte.

LONGETIVITY

All the four products last really well on my skin. I have worn them straight for 6 hours until I removed my makeup and they held up pretty well. I would say maybe the bronzer faded away little bit since it is not too intense on my skin. But, the highlighters and the blush last a really long time on the skin.

SWATCHES

Here, I have swatched all the products on my skintone.

The highlights do look pretty similar here but in real life the Rose Gold highlight does have some pink hues and Beach Nectar appears more peachy. But, honestly if you apply a subtle layer both the highlights look pretty similar on the skin.

As mentioned above, you won’t be able to notice the bronzer too much on my bare skin since it’s quite close to my skin tone. But, it looks really natural on top of foundation. If you have a fairer skin tone than mine, then the bronzer will show up more on you.

Overall, needless to say that I absolutely love this palette. This is a good buy if you are someone like me who wanted to get the Jaclyn Hill Palette but didn’t and here is your second chance. But, if you already have the Jaclyn Hill Palette, then you might not need to get this palette since more or less all the shades from both the palettes will look pretty similar on the skin.

I love that this palette:

  • has a beautiful packaging
  • is very sturdy and travel friendly
  • has very good sized highlighters
  • comes with the Rose Gold Highlighter which I wanted to buy
  • has a satin bronzer and blush
  • is very pigmented and blends effortlessly
  • is not very intense on the first go
  • is not as expensive as the Jaclyn Hill Palette

I don’t like that this palette

  • has a soft touch material on the cover, I feel it might get damaged
  • although not super expensive, but is still an expensive product
  • doesn’t have very distinct highlighters at least on my skin tone
  • does have some powder kick-off for the highlighters
  • is limited-edition

That’s all for today everyone. Hope this review was helpful if you are interested in getting this palette. It is still available on many websites.

Cheers!
